Job Description



AECOM is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Digital Lead with more than 15 to 20 years of experience to join our team. As the Digital Lead, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing the digital/BIM design aspects of our projects. You will be responsible for providing technical expertise, guiding teams, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality Digital and Automated solutions to our clients across various sectors including buildings, data center, commercial real estate, airports, hospital, hospitality, industrial etc.

Responsibilities:

BIM Leadership: Facilitates and monitor cross-discipline interactive design model review such as Design feasibility Monitoring of model updates, Coordinate constructability and schedule simulation model, coordination within a project and across multiple projects within the program. Guiding and leading BIM teams at project level. Industry technical leader in digital delivery space.

Digital Leadership: Liaising with the international AECOM offices, Local project delivery team, and Inter-disciplines. Knowledge and hands on skills of automation tools like Dynamo, RF tools, Ideate, Cobie, AIM, Convoid, ACC, Unifi etc. to implement & guide implementation/creation of automation tools. Be proficient in the use of Autodesk software like Revit Building suite, Navisworks, AutoCAD, Bentley AECOsim Building Designer, Revizto, MicroStation and ProjectWise. Additional skills on other Autodesk software and Bentley Software will be considered as an advantage. Able to interact with AECOM Global Digital Leaders and contribute to the AECOM Global Digital standardization process. Skilled and experienced in current Design Automation technologies used in the industry (from any of the following software vendors: Autodesk, Bentley, Intergraph) Experienced in developing, implementing, and design automation project execution plans.

Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements. Host BIM coordination meetings, liaising with the clients, should be able to communicate confidently with Clients and Lead region counterparts, proven Leadership ability and able to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels.

Team Management: Leading BIM teams at project level. Industry technical leader in digital delivery space. Creating, managing, and expanding a local team of excellence. Create benchmark and measure benefits of using BIM. Driving innovation and better ways of working.

Quality Assurance: Implement quality assurance processes to review and validate BIM Models. Ready to take active role in meeting the Project deliverable goals related to timeline and quality. Verifying internal disciplines have implemented QA/QC for design automation deliverables, such as:

  • Ensure proper BIM standards, drafting presentations, and BIM delivery requirements have been followed.
  • Validate the LOD and LOI and controls as defined for each project phase.
  • Validate modelling content during each phase.

Technical Expertise: Stay abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and advancements in BIM and Digital space, and incorporate them into project to enhance performance, sustainability, and efficiency with experience of below requirements:

  • Experience in using BIM modelling tools (Autodesk Revit)
  • Prepare bid proposals.
  • Experience is using Model checking tools (Solibri)
  • Knowledge on CDE workflow and solutions
  • Knowledge on BIM standards (BIM Forum 2019, ISO 19650 series and PAS 1192 series)
  • Knowledge on Open BIM approach (IFC, BCF, COBie)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience in delivering training to technical and non-technical people.
  • Experience in using PowerBi
  • Experience in writing Information Requirements
  • Experience in checking BIM Execution Plans and EIR
  • Experience in preparing digital handover strategies.
  • Knowledge of VR applications

Collaboration: Coordinate with Lead BIM Managers/Coordinators/Engineers and align all the team to set up working procedures & workflows. Supervise deliverable and data extraction from BIM model. Coordinating staff training to enhance staff members’ knowledge and expertise of the standardized software used. Have strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience & Qualification:

Relevant degree qualification in Mechanical or Electrical or Building Services Engineering; Master’s degree in any related specialization is preferred. Experience in BIM Advisory, BIM Coordination and Management experience will be an additional advantage. Be reliable, self-motivated, and have a can-do attitude.

More than 17 years of experience in BIM/Digital engineering, with a proven track record of managing complex projects and leading multidisciplinary teams across buildings, real estate, data center, commercial complexes, airports, hospitals and industrial sectors.

Qualifications



Relevant degree qualification in Mechanical or Electrical or Building Services Engineering; Master’s degree in any related specialization is preferred

Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and stakeholders across diverse project types and sectors.

Demonstrated ability to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, with a focus on meeting the specific needs and challenges of data center, commercial, airport, and industrial projects.

Experience working in a consulting engineering environment, preferably within the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) industry.

Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
