Cell Prototyping Engineer

Gegadyne Energy is looking for a skilled Battery Cell Prototyping Engineer who is willing to dedicate himself/herself in developing the next generation of batteries. Duties will include fabricating different types of cells for Gegadyne Energy.
As a Cell Prototyping Engineer, you should be knowledgeable in the field of battery fabrication techniques. You will be responsible for executing end to end battery fabrication process. You should be well acquainted with the equipment involved in the battery making process. You should have some experience in complete fabrication of cell formats such as coin, pouch, prismatic or cylindrical cell. You will also be responsible to work with the other teams, take their inputs and include them in designing.
Job Responsibility:
The engineer will provide hands-on support for the fabrication of Gegadyne Energy's batteries. The candidate will be responsible to communicate with other teams to resolve issues.
Specific responsibilities include:

• Following written or verbal instruction for the fabrication of the cells.
• Should be aware of different equipment/machines involved in proper fabrication and methods of using them effectively.
• Delivering the required format of the cell for further testing.
• Being in communication with other teams in order to bring about any changes, if required.
• Maintaining all relevant data and cell design parameters as well as proper cataloguing of all fabricated cells.
• Interpreting cell parameters in ingenious ways and portraying them in proper format for the development teams to gain valuable insights.
• Suggesting new and improved fabrication techniques and help the company make informed decisions on machinery procurement
  

Requirements
Experience: 1-2 years research experience
Qualification:
Required:

• MTech (Material Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Energy Science and Engineering and similar related field. MSc in Chemistry (organic, Inorganic, industrial)
• Knowledge about different formats of cells and machineries involved is necessary.
  

Desired:

• Experience with battery R&D and pilot plant scale-up is desirable.
• Previous work with different cell formats [excluding coin cells] and their construction would be highly desirable.
