Job Description - Commercial Compliance Associate

Role objective:

Ensuring that Assignment Support Teams are in the position to provide contractors with clear, concise documentation that properly protects NES Fircroft’s business and minimises the risk of client or contractor complaints/litigation.

Key Responsibilities

▪ Identify, document, and communicate to internal stakeholders the client contract specific requirements from post-execution client contracts in your allocated region (principally concerning, but not limited to, contractor pre-engagement screening & onboarding), and ensure these are followed internally.

▪ Ensure that the contractor contract templates used by Assignment Support Teams are in line with client terms.

▪ Support colleagues who carry out internal audits of business activities against defined criteria (principally concerning, but not limited to, compliance with contractor pre-engagement screening & onboarding requirements).

▪ Maintain accurate and up to date databases relating to commercial compliance.

▪ Follow all established commercial compliance procedures.

▪ Undertake other duties commensurate with the position to ensure the smooth operation of NES Fircroft’s high commercial compliance standards.

Essential Criteria

▪ Demonstrates capable, satisfactory [or strong] results in the Interview Tasks.

Bachelor’s degree (law preferred) or similar experience.

▪ Minimum two of the following:

o Law degree or has passed a Contract Management course or shows similar competency.

o Previous contractual compliance / contract management experience.

o Minimum 3-4 years of experience working in a corporate / in-house environment .

o Experience reading contracts and identifying client requirements.

▪ [Good] Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook.

▪ Good [Excellent] written and verbal communication skills, with a strong, clear, and confident telephone and videocall manner.

▪ [Excellent] Ability to write clearly and simplistically (essentially, this is in order to ‘translate’ information from a client contract into plain English for non-lawyers).

▪ Good [Excellent] organizational skills and ability to priorities work and meet deadlines.

▪ Good [Excellent] attention to detail.

▪ Experience in quickly learning new processes, and [strong] ability to follow them consistently.

▪ Experience in accurately and consistently documenting and filing written and verbal information.

▪ Experience working with substantial documents (e.g., contracts).

▪ Ability to work well independently while understanding when to refer to other team members.

▪ Experience of working in pressured environments.

▪ Maintains a continuous learning approach, showing interest and curiosity in new ideas and opportunities.

Desirable Criteria

▪ Conversant with database systems (e.g., SharePoint or similar).

▪ Conversant with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and onboarding systems (e.g., Bullhorn or Bullhorn Back Office).
