About Business line/Function:

ALMT function is responsible for Asset Liabilities management and treasury activity of BNP Paribas. It also handles Bank’s funding needs and risk management activities. ALMT IT is a Deal Capture & Deal Processing Application catering to IT demands of ALMT functions within the bank.

ILMS is Web based communication tool amongst FO ALM-Treasury and TFLM Operations to build the Treasury forecasts and manage the short-term position of the bank in all its currencies based on the prepared forecasts.

ILMS application is fully integrated to BNPP standard architecture via in-house developments

Position Purpose

Current position is under ALMT IT team scope to contribute in Treasury Forecasting and Controls Steam as  Java Senior Developer ( Full stack) for ILMS application by efficiently utilizing continuous improvement and agile methodology. The candidate also should good on and have hands on experience on System Architecture Design and solutioning.

As a senior technical member in the team, you will design,  code and implement applications into the  core business processes and product features. At times, you would be willing to research and find right solutions for the problems at hand, implement and integrate them into products.

We are looking for a candidate who has good understanding and hands-on experience on Web Development ( Java Backend + UI Development)  - Java 17+, Angular 4+ Spring Web, Spring Boot,  Hibernate, and Microservices

You will work with experienced engineers and product owners to identify business opportunities, design and create new data system from scratch, all the way to deploying software. Understand and gain knowledge in the Treasury domain and enhance your functional domain skills. Improve scalability, stability, speed of existing applications. Research and learn on new technologies

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

·       Designing, coding and debugging of products, and features. Work involves both Java Backend and UI development.

·       Provide technical leadership to the team.

·       Analyze and resolve technical queries that the team may have from time to time.

·       Mentor development team.

·       Handle code reviews, setup guidelines for development.

·       Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams such as Product Management, Business Development, and Operations.

·       Work with frontend engineers to build features.

·       Design right solutions/architecture for products/features based on requirements, estimate efforts, and work along with the development team for implementation.

·       Manage and improve systems by innovating and implementing best practices.

·       Application designing / development / testing / support / enhancements / bug-fixing.

·       Interact with functional and technical representatives of project teams in order to understand   business functionalities, technical modules, integration mechanism and data sources.

·       Lead the technical designing phase and document the design with UML diagrams and models.

·       Create prototype for proof of concept and business requirements validations.

·       Provide technical assistance to Fucntional/Testing teams.

·       Participate in peer reviews of Technical artifacts.

·       Train others (wherever required) in order to ensure knowledge sharing and backup.

·       Ensure that the project and organization standards are followed during various phases of software development lifecycle and day-to-day development work.

·       Basic knowledge of Unix and good understanding of SQL to perform hands on operations on the product on day to day basis

·       Report progress and escalate issues to the reporting manager.

·       Design and improve DevOps related implementation for the team.

·       Should have insights on areas like Java Memory Management & Garbage Collector algorithms, design Patterns (SOLID), Encryption Types, OWASP best practices, UX skills, Db purging and Archiving strategies

·       Should be well versed with Trunc based development workflow (like Gitflow)

·       Should have decision making capabilities for technical projects

·       Proactively conduct trainings to upskill team and self on latest technologies including Java 17, Angular 4+, Microservices, Spring Boot etc

Technical:

·       Strong hands-on experience in Java 17+, Spring Framework, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, JPA, and Hibernate

·       Hands on experience on implementing secured, high quality REST API (must know the best practices)

·       Must have knowledge and experience of Microservices design, security designs, and best practices

·       Good understanding and implementation knowledge of design patterns and integration patterns

·       Should have good exposure to MVC implementation patterns

·       Should be able to understand and implement secure coding practices

·       Strong problem solving and analytical skills (especially around the areas of performance, scalability on the above mentioned technologies)

·       Excellent knowledge of RDBMS systems like MS-SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL and NoSQL databases like MongoDB and Cassandra

·       Should have thorough understanding on unit and integration test cases using JUNIT, MOCKITO, and other testing libraries

·       Must have working knowledge on HTML 5, CSS 3, Bootstrap 4 and JQuery

·       Must have worked on any one of AngularJS 1.x or Angular 4+

·       Knowledge of working with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins,  Ansible, etc.

·       Excellent understanding of standard protocols such as DNS, SSL, etc.

·       Excellent understanding of Unix/Linux systems

·       Must have working knowledge on Code Versioning tools like GIT or SVN

·       Must have working knowledge on build tools like Maven etc

·       The candidate should possess good oral and written communication skills
