Job Description - Purchase Admin - Ashok Nagar - Construction Background Needed

Overview:

The Purchase Admin plays a crucial role in the construction industry by overseeing the procurement of materials supplies and services essential for project execution. They are responsible for maintaining inventory levels negotiating with suppliers and ensuring timely delivery of goods contributing to the overall efficiency of construction projects in Ashok Nagar.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the procurement process for construction materials supplies and equipment.
  • Monitor stock levels and initiate purchase orders as needed.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to secure costeffective deals.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to determine purchasing needs and specifications.
  • Verify receipt of items and reconcile any discrepancies with orders.
  • Track and update inventory records to ensure accuracy.
  • Oversee the maintenance of supplier contracts and agreements.
  • Resolve vendorrelated issues and disputes in a timely manner.
  • Keep abreast of market trends new products and alternate supply sources.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to process invoices and payments.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • Proven experience in procurement within the construction industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction materials and their procurement processes.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and purchasing software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced deadlinedriven environment.
  • Sound understanding of supply chain principles and practices.
  • Detailoriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.
  • Adherence to ethical and professional standards in purchasing practices.
