Overview

The Purchase Executive for Interior Projects at Nungambakkam plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful procurement of materials and services required for interior projects. This position is essential for maintaining project timelines quality standards and costefficiency by effectively managing the procurement process.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the endtoend procurement process for interior projects including vendor identification negotiation and finalization of contracts
• Collaborate with project managers and designers to understand material requirements and specifications
• Source and evaluate potential vendors and suppliers to ensure highquality and costeffective procurement
• Negotiate pricing terms and contracts with vendors to achieve the best value for the organization
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project timelines and minimize delays
• Monitor and update purchase orders delivery schedules and inventory levels
• Coordinate with internal teams to address any purchaserelated issues or discrepancies
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations throughout the procurement process
• Conduct regular market research to stay updated on industry trends and procurement best practices
• Identify opportunities to optimize procurement processes and reduce costs
• Prepare and maintain accurate procurement records and reports
• Participate in vendor performance evaluations and provide feedback
• Manage relationships with existing vendors and cultivate new supplier relationships
• Resolve any vendor or deliveryrelated disputes or issues
• Contribute to the development and improvement of procurement strategies and policies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management or a related field
• Proven experience in procurement preferably in the interior design or construction industry
• Strong understanding of procurement processes contract management and negotiation techniques
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective vendor and stakeholder management
• Ability to work well under pressure and in a fastpaced project environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and procurement software
• Sound analytical and decisionmaking abilities to assess vendor offerings and make informed choices
• Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize and manage multiple procurement tasks
• Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance standards related to procurement
• Proactive and detailoriented approach to procurement activities
• Ability to analyze and interpret data to drive procurement strategies and decisions
• Experience in project management within the interior design or construction industry is a plus
• Proven track record of cost savings and process improvements in previous procurement roles
• Adaptability and willingness to travel for vendor visits and industry events
• Professional certifications in procurement or supply chain management are desirable
