Job Description:

As a Senior Fashion Designer specializing in wovens, you will play a key role in shaping the creative direction of our woven collections. Leveraging your expertise in woven garment design, you will lead the development of unique and captivating designs that resonate with our target audience and elevate our brand aesthetic. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of garment construction, and a passion for staying abreast of industry trends and innovations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize and develop original woven designs that reflect current fashion trends, brand identity, and customer preferences.
• Create detailed sketches, tech packs, and design specifications for woven garments, ensuring accuracy and clarity in communication with cross-functional teams.
• Conduct research on emerging trends, fabrications, and techniques relevant to woven fashion, and integrate them into our collections in innovative ways.
• Collaborate closely with the product development, sourcing, and merchandising teams to ensure seamless execution of design concepts from concept to production.
• Lead fit sessions and provide feedback on garment fit, construction, and quality to ensure adherence to brand standards and customer expectations.
• Oversee the development of samples and prototypes, monitoring progress and making necessary adjustments to achieve desired design outcomes.
• Stay informed about market competition, consumer preferences, and industry developments to inform design decisions and strategic planning.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers, fostering their growth and development within the organization.
• Maintain consistency and coherence in design aesthetics across all woven collections, upholding brand integrity and identity.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to develop effective strategies for promoting and selling woven collections, including participation in presentations and showroom events as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field; additional certification in woven design is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in fashion design, with a focus on woven garment design preferred.
• Strong portfolio showcasing proficiency in woven design, including sketches, tech packs, and finished product samples.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and other design software.
• Thorough understanding of garment construction, fabric properties, and textile development.
• Excellent grasp of fashion trends, color theory, and design principles.
• Strong creative vision and ability to translate concepts into commercially viable designs.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and lead design initiatives.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and craftsmanship.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a positive attitude and fostering a collaborative team culture.
