Head of Projects and Services- Renewable Power

Job Description

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Define the team’s purpose by setting the vision, mission, and objectives that challenge the team to achieve the Centre of Excellence (CoE) goals

• Continuously review the market and front sales office (FSO) requirement to complete a white gap analysis covering the solution and product offering. Align with the other stakeholders, technology, and marketing teams to cover these gaps
• Work closely with the team in Denmark and Ukraine to develop skill and capability to execute end to end renewable projects with a configure to order approach which is pivotal to our success in this market
• Put in place strong program management practices that ensure timely delivery, superlative quality, and deploy productivity measures to seek favourable cost variance. Ensure scope creeps are monitored and flagged to the project management team for successful change orders
• Ensure the team is a subject matter expert (SME) for renewable projects, maintain and develop libraries, productivity, and efficiency tools along with metric to track progress
• Regular operation reviews with the centre and FSO leadership 
• Ensure optimal resource allocation to meet the global CoE objectives with clear CAPEX and headcount plans 
• Drive excellent work culture by driving transparency, prioritizing skill development, continuous organization and talent reviews, succession planning, individual development plans for 100% of the team, and holistic performance management 
• Collaborate with other CoEs and FSOs to develop the most efficient project execution model for each served market 
• Collaborate with stakeholders and SMEs to ensure a comprehensive training and certification program is in place for the skills relevant to the Renewables market
• Ensure development and skill enhancement of system integrators (SI) and local business partners (LBP) for the desired scaling up 
• Drive safety as a core value. Ensure compliance to Emerson prescribed health and safety norms at customer sites and during project engineering, testing at the GEC facility

SCOPE AND IMPACT OF POSITION:

• The scope would involve fostering a strong relationship with the PWS FSO leadership, project teams, LBPs, and SIs to ensure optimal performance. 
• The role would involve communicating business/ technology updates to GEC renewable projects and services team to keep them updated with the PWS and industry trends

• Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Computer Science/Electrical/Electronic/Instrumentation Engineering
• 15 plus years of experience in automation industry with at least 5 years in managerial capacity. Experience in power industry will be an added advantage
• Strong analytical and questioning skills coupled with ability to develop and implement strategies
• Strong people management & interpersonal skills; matured personality
• Strong organization and planning skills
  

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Knowledge of Ovation or other Distributed Control Systems
• Experience working in Power & Water Industry/ Renewable power hub
• Excellent communication skills with strong proficiency in written and spoken English
