Job Summary (purpose)

The candidate is responsible for design, development and implementation of various applications in the area of large scale worldwide Colgate e-Commerce Operation and provides support.

The person will be required to collaborate with business teams / functional teams and IT counterparts for daily support incidents and project activities in different business areas across all geographies.

The person should have the ability to understand the requirements related to business problems and transform that into a solution design.

Main Responsibilities

• Understand and apply information technology standards to daily support and project implementation activities

• Manage and/or perform the design, build and testing of business applications and its architecture in line with agreed time frames, business requirements and global standards

• Develop consumer grade eCommerce applications that scale in a global environment

• Apply conceptual knowledge of business processes and technology to provide solutions and solve high complexity issues

• Work closely with internal team and external partners to ensure new developments align with roadmap and integrate seamlessly with other platform components

• Manage application rollouts, system upgrades, apply user experience techniques

• Maintain production systems reliability through correct utilization of GIT standard support and governance processes

• Support day to day business requirements according to global SLA

• Deliver solutions to solve business requirements considering priorities and resources availability

• Ensure the proper use of information technology project management methodology to comply of information technology governance practices

• Collaborate with business and functional teams, develop detailed plans and accurate estimates for completion of build, system testing and implementation phases of project

• Ensure proper documentation of processes, knowledge acquisitions and transfers

• Review program codes and suggest correction in case of any errors

• Conduct performance tuning to improve system performance over multiple business processes

• Identify and explore new opportunities to leverage new technologies to enhance the Platform

• Mentor and share knowledge to grow and develop the skills of the eCommerce team members

Required Qualifications:

• Min 1 year of experience on hybris Commerce Cloud 

• Foundational knowledge in Spring Java, JavaScript

• Knowledge in integrating with SAP ERP

• Knowledge on REST API or SOAP - Headless approach

• Good technical architecture knowledge

• Knowledge on Cloud Applications (AWS, Google, Azure)

• Sound knowledge on Code security, code optimization and version controlling tools Git/Svn

• Knowledge of unit test and testing driven development

• Basic understanding of code deployment, branching strategy

• Strong written and verbal communication and collaborative skills, and the ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms and business needs into technical specifications

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of hybris architecture

• Working on Agile/SCRUM development teams

• Knowledge on building websites using headless commerce approach (integration with Spartacus)

• Knowledge in working with payment gateways like Stripe, Paymetric, Adyen, Moneris, etc.

• Knowledge on Microservices, Serverless functions

• Knowledge of using user-centric design and applying User Experience concepts

• Familiarity with data privacy concepts (GDPR, PCI, HIPAA), cyber security, cookie policy
