Responsibilities
• Greet VIP guests and perform special services • Assist with VIP arrivals and departures • Check cleanliness of lobby and public areas • Check registration cards of arriving guests • Assist with sending guest messages or faxes • Give instructions to Night Reception during busy periods • Prepare and check for VIP arrivals • Operate front office computer system • Handle guest complaints and problems • Assist reception, business centre, cashier, concierge, and bell captain • Answer guest inquiries and attend to guest needs • Approve charges and sign for allowances/rebates • Promote and maintain good public relations • Motivate and maintain good staff relations • Maintain and be guided by hotel policy on credit/lost and found • Follow up on credit check reports • Responsible for front office operation during manager's absence • Discuss follow-up matters with next shift reception manager • Approve working schedule for front office attendants • Ensure neat appearance and behavior of front office attendants • Assign and approve duty roster for front desk staff
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree and/or diploma in hotel and restaurant management or related field • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Minimum 3 years of experience as Duty Manager
