Job Description - Business Analyst - MDM

Department – Finance GBS

About the Department

Global Finance GBS Bangalore was established in 2007, is currently responsible for supporting Accounting, Finance & Procurement, Financial Planning & Analytics (FP&A) for Headquarters, region Europe, North America, International Operations (IO) & GBS Bangalore. The main purpose of our existence is to provide superior service to our stakeholders consistently and add value to the processes in terms of standardization and efficiency.

 

The position

As a Business Analyst at Novo Nordisk, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and implement data quality validation logic and business rules and drive standardization and harmonization of master data fields, including data cleansing.
  • Create and communicate standards, benchmarks, and processes for daily execution of data quality tasks.
  • Build data quality rules to ensure all fields are updated and establish strong controls for compliance.
  • Provide expert support for master data elements in large projects. Define mandatory fields and maintain process flow diagrams for data interfaces.
  • Train business stakeholders on master data fields and their impact on operational processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and participate in stakeholder meetings.
  • Act as a liaison and escalation point for system and service-related matters. Partner with global stakeholders to drive new solutions and initiatives.

 

Qualifications

To excel in this role, we expect you to have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in commerce or equivalent qualification.
  • 3-8 years of experience in a organizational master data (Cost center, profit center & internal orders) function within a larger organization.
  • Proficiency in working with SAP ERP system, encompassing FI/CO and SD modules.
  • Prior experience in MDM with a global company.
  • Strong understanding of Sarbox approach and audit material. Excellent communication skills (both oral and written).
  • Proficient in computer skills, specifically MS Office. Sound knowledge of ERP systems, particularly SAP.
