Job Description - Environment Analyst

Greetings from Thryve !!!

We are looking for a Environment Analyst based in Chennai / Hyderabad. Should be ready to work in 6.30 pm to 3.30 am shift.

Job Summary

  • This job plays a crucial role in the following key activities:
  • Ideally the candidate can be a developer/analyst worked across multiple test regions having experience work on build and deploy code. Understanding of stage gates checks is crucial.
  • Coordinate and help with Release and Change Management
  • Participated in continuous improvement by generating suggestions, engaging in problem-solving activities to support teamwork.
  • Used critical thinking to break down problems, evaluate solutions and make decisions.
  • Worked with customers to understand needs and provide excellent service.

Test Environment Activities

  • Manage Test Environment Usage requests – special use requests to be in an environment outside of standard uses/times; coordinate any meetings to discuss conflicts and ensure proper communication; utilize knowledge of our test regions to provide solutions when the requested solution will not work to allow teams to meet testing deadlines.
  • Process special requests for data refreshes outside standard windows to accommodate special testing needs; be available for emergency refresh requests if needed during standard EST hours
  • IBC Test ticket escalations (response within 15 min of receiving request, support during EST hours), sending daily status of all open test tickets (status is expected at the end of each day); MN ticket escalations but no daily status of tickets is sent
  • Creation and maintenance of 2 key calendars showing time frames for test regions, database related windows and Test Cycle Management timelines for each release.
  • Maintain and create all documentation as well as training modules (in MyLearning) as it relates to test region usage
  • Manage all yearly data refresh activities to include, plan setup, resource coordination, client communications, internal communications, conflict resolutions, determining what databases are in or out of scope and testing coordination (refreshes are multi day events spanning key EST hours)
  • Post release structure updates and data syncs coordination
  • SharePoint maintenance of team site, keeping data up to date on activities happening related to test regions
  • Keeping Teams Channel updated with any known environment major issues or outages
  • Provide key knowledge around test environment utilization as needed.
  • Environment Analytics around test region tickets submitted to determine trends and to create mitigation strategies around how we can reduce ticket numbers
  • Core understanding of how test regions are architected and how they interact; Understand how our regions are different
  • Involved in Build and Deployment plan creation of Environments for products like Dev, QA, and Prod.
  • Involved in daily infrastructure and application deployments on to different Environments.

Required:

Mandatory Skillset:

  • Solid understanding of test and pre-production regions and environments.
  • Previous experience with coordinating builds out of test regions
  • Familiar with tools on Jira, Enov8 or any agile tracking tool
  • Good knowledge on SDLC life cycle
  • Strong knowledge in stage gates in SDLC and release management process
  • Worked on Data refresh and cleanup activities for product teams.

Additional Desirable Skills:

  • Good understanding of Agile methodologies and development lifecycles is beneficial for effective collaboration with development teams.
  • Knowledge of Agility for tracking features and stories a plus
  • Good communication skills
