Faculty - Simulation Lab

SGT University is in search of talented Faculty Members with good research orientation for its campus. Job Description:-

The Faculty Simulation lab will be overall responsible for planning and facilitating Simulation-based training's for nursing students, nurses and other medical/allied professionals.

Responsibilities:

• coordinate, organize and manage the daily operations of Simulation lab by preparing and maintaining labs and simulated patient care environments with equipment, supplies, media, computers, and materials needed to replicate virtual healthcare setting.
• training and educational materials for the Simulation scenarios to support trainees’ leaning experiences
• in research activities to create evidence for improving Simulation-based training's
• the training's of the master trainers and for faculty of medical/nursing/ allied health institutes to meet the course objectives and provide hand holding to the trainees for practice of technical skills
• the student with critical thinking and problem-solving using reflection, probing, active listening and other clinical teaching strategies including briefing and debriefing techniques
• on ordering and maintaining lab inventory and purchase of lab equipment and supplies; and maintains a clean, fully equipped simulation lab.
• simulation equipment care, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair as required.
• work in a timely manner, including preparing, documenting, and tracking student and faculty lab utilization.
• in technical training as necessary; attend conferences to stay current with Simulation technology.
• other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience:

• in Medicine / Nursing with valid registration.
• degree or equivalent in Emergency medicine/ Critical Care Medicine/ Anaesthesia is desirable OR Masters’ level degree in Medical Surgical nursing/ Post basic diploma in Critical Care field preferred.
• years’ clinical experience in acute patient care or surgical units (Operation theater) or emergency or trauma conditions. Atleast 1 year of experience in simulation-based-education
• BLS-CPR certification strongly encouraged; ACLS and/or PALS a plus.
• with patient simulators and audio/visual or telemedicine preferred.

Requisites:-

Knowledge of:

• advances and strategies in the field of MNCH, critical/emergency care, OT and management of trauma.
• inventory, material storage procedures and record keeping procedures

Skill in:

• facilitation and coaching of skills related to MNCH, critical/emergency care and management of trauma
• set up and operation of patient care Simulation and related multimedia and computer equipment
• in computers - Microsoft Office

Ability to:

• analytical problem solving skills to resolve issues related to patient care Simulation scenarios
• effectively and collaboratively with different team members including technicians and co-trainers
• written and oral communication skills in English and Hindi.
• initiative and work independently
• the characteristics of new equipment and update skills to adapt to changing technology.
