Senior Service Designer

Overview

Edifecs is seeking a proactive and forward-thinkingSenior Service Designer to join our growing Experience Design team and spearhead the introduction of service design capabilities. This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity to shape the way we engage with our customers, craftimpactful experiences, and drive long-term loyalty. In this role, you will establish, lead, and champion our Service Design practice, with a specific focus on designing holistic solutions for the next generation of digital and service experiences in the Healthcare IT domain. We are looking for an individual with exceptional leadership skills, a collaborative spirit, and a proven ability to work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation that will shape our brand’s future.


What you will do:

  • Strategic Service Design: Lead the development of service design strategies aligned with business objectives, considering user needs, market trends, and technological advances.
  • Service Design Processes: Define and implement service design processes, methodologies, and best practices tailored to our organizations unique requirements.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product teams, engineering, and other stakeholders to integrate service design principles into every aspectof the customer journey.
  • User Research: Partner with User Researchers and Product Designers to conduct in-depth user research, gaining insights into customer behaviors, pain points, and preferencesto inform design decisions.
  • Journey Mapping: Create comprehensive user journey maps to visualize end-to-end digital and service experiences, identify touchpoints, and uncover opportunities for improvement and innovation.
  • Service Blueprinting: Developdetailed service blueprints outlining the people, processes, and technologies involved in delivering the software or service, to facilitate alignment and execution across teams.
  • Change Management: Drive organizational change by championing the value of service design, educating stakeholders, and fostering a culture of customer-centricity.
  • Continuous Improvement: Monitor key performance indicators and user feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, driving ongoing enhancements to the software or service experience.
  • Stay Abreast of Industry Trends: Keep up-to-date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in service design, incorporating relevant insights into our approach.

What you will bring:

  • Any relevant industry experience is welcomed.
  • Bachelor’s or master’sdegree in Design, Service Design, HCI or a related field
  • 3+years of service design experiencewith a strong portfolio showcasing projects and outcomes.DO NOT APPLY WITHOUT A PORTFOLIO.
  • Strong understanding of design thinking methodologies, user-centered design principles, and service design tools such as journey mapping, service blueprinting, and prototyping.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to synthesize complex information and translate insights into actionable design recommendations.
  • Ability to identify and define the “right” problem to solve from diverse data sets.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Must be willing and able to proactively reach out to stakeholders and team members for collaboration and support. Must be able to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience in agile development environments.
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools, such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous learning, staying abreast of industry trends and best practices in service design and related fields.
