Systems Engineering Manager

The Systems Engineering Manager for Radiometer is responsible for leading a part of systems engineering team as their people manager. In your day to day, you will be responsible for hiring and training systems engineers. Acting as a lead system engineer with the focus on systems architecture and design. Coach and mentor the team member on best systems engineering practices. Participate in implementing and improving systems engineering processes with the focus on requirements management, risk management, usability.

This position is part of the Radiometer R&D located in Bangalore, India and will be hybrid. At Radiometer, our vision is to improve global healthcare with reliable, fast, and easy patient diagnoses.

You will be a part of the Product systems engineering team and report to Director, R&D responsible for Systems definition and design function for Acute care diagnostics. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Conduct/lead all systems engineering activities including requirements management, risk management, design, integration & verification.
• Define and support system architecture and design.
• Produce/review project technical documentation to project schedule per Radiometer design control procedures.
• Prepare for and successfully deliver key design reviews per the project schedule
• Reviewing and challenging technical documentation of sub-systems and system interfaces
• Ensuring adequate integration with other engineering functions involved in the delivery of the product (Electronics, Mechanical, Software, Chemistry, etc.).

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related field with 10-15 years of experience in systems engineering, with a focus on medical devices or diagnostic systems and 3 years in People management
• Experience in Medical Device industry standards and regulations (EU IVDR, MDR etc.)
• Proven experience with leading the capture, development and management of requirements, risks, system architecture, design trade-offs and new technology opportunities.
• Ability to communicate, positively influence and negotiate at all levels within an organization.
• Experience in systems engineering tools (e.g., Application Lifecycle Management tools – DOORS, Polarion etc., System Modeling Tools –, Enterprise Architect with SysML, MagicDraw etc.)
• Experience in product development projects running across multi-disciplined teams (e.g., chemistry, mechanical, electronics and software).
• Ability to coach and mentor other Systems Engineers as a Subject Matter Expert.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Formal Systems Engineering qualifications (e.g., INCOSE CSEP, ISO 15288) or working towards.
• Advanced understanding of EU IVDR, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, ISO 62366 is a big plus
• Experience in complex electronic and/or software systems
