The Science and Humanities (S&H) Department at EASA College of Engineering and Technology (EASA CET) plays a vital role in providing foundational knowledge and essential skills to engineering students. Position Overview

We are seeking dynamic and qualified candidates for the positions of Assistant / Associate / Professor in the S&H Department. The successful candidates will contribute to the academic and intellectual growth of students by delivering high-quality instruction, conducting research, and engaging in scholarly activities.

Responsibilities

• Teaching and Instruction:
  • Deliver lectures, conduct tutorials, and facilitate laboratory sessions in the respective discipline.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching methodologies to enhance student learning outcomes.
  • Design and review course curriculum to align with academic standards and industry requirements.
  • Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students, including advising on career paths and academic progress.
• Research and Scholarly Activities:
  • Engage in research activities in the field of Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, English, or Tamil.
  • Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals, conferences, and other scholarly outlets.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and industry partners on research projects and initiatives.
  • Pursue external funding opportunities to support research endeavors.
• Academic Administration:
  • Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and academic initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development of academic policies, program assessments, and accreditation processes.
  • Assist in the recruitment, evaluation, and supervision if required.
• Professional Development:
  • Stay abreast of recent advancements, trends, and best practices in the respective field.
  • Attend conferences, workshops, and professional development programs to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and scholarly inquiry within the department and institution.

Qualifications

• Education:
  • Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics, English, Tamil, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Candidates nearing completion of their Ph.D. may be considered for Assistant Professor positions.
• Experience:
  • Previous teaching experience at the undergraduate or postgraduate level is preferred.
  • Demonstrated research expertise with a track record of scholarly publications and contributions.
  • Experience in curriculum development, assessment, and academic administration is advantageous.
• Skills:
