WRI India, an independent charity legally registered as the India Resources Trust, provides objective information and practical proposals to foster environmentally sound and socially equitable development. WRI India’s mission is to move human society to live in ways that protect Earth’s environment and its capacity to provide for the needs and aspirations of current and future generations. Through research, analysis, and recommendations, WRI India puts ideas into action to build transformative solutions to protect the earth, promote livelihoods, and enhance human well-being.   

We are inspired by and associated with World Resources Institute (WRI), a global research organization. Currently over 250 researchers are working with WRI India in our offices at Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.   

About your role:  

WRI India is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager - Strategy to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in strategic consulting and a proven track record of driving system thinking in collaboration with Leadership. If you are passionate about developing strategic plans, leading system transitions, and contributing to sustainable practices, we want to hear from you. To help WRI India with 5 years strategy and lead the thinking that will drive Food, Land use, Transport, Cities, and energy.  

How your day will unfold:  

Strategy Consulting Expertise:  

  •  Utilize extensive experience gained from working in top-tier strategy consulting firms, to provide valuable insights and strategic direction.

Collaboration with CEO:  

  • Work closely with the CEO to drive system thinking and align strategic initiatives with overall organizational goals.
  • Contribute to high-level decision-making processes, providing strategic guidance based on industry best practices.

Strategic Planning:  

  • Develop comprehensive and forward-thinking strategic plans that address both short-term and long-term organizational objectives.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis, competitor assessments, and trend evaluations to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Preparing a work plan for strategic initiative

System Transition Leadership:  

  • Lead and facilitate the transition of systems and processes, ensuring seamless integration of new strategies into existing workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and monitor strategic changes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Sustainability Sector Focus:  

  • Leverage expertise in strategic consulting within the sustainability sector to identify opportunities and mitigate risks associated with sustainable business practices.

Qualifications and Requirements we seek:  

  • Master’s degree in business, Finance, Management, or a related field
  • 9to 12 years of experience as a strategy consultant in consulting firms.
  • Demonstrated experience working directly with CEOs to drive system thinking and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and provide actionable insights.
  • Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Knowledge of and passion for sustainability practices and trends.
  •  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary and Benefits:  21,00,000 INR to 24,00,000 INR CTC Per annumSalary shall be commensurate with experience and skills. WRI offers a generous and comprehensive benefits package. 

Duration: 1 year extendable based on performance and project requirements.   

Location: Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, India   

Start date:  As soon as possible.
