Function Overview
The GIC Supply Chain team manages end-to-end operations, encompassing planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, and analytics. They strategically plan to meet market demands, optimize sourcing, ensure efficient production, and oversee the seamless movement of goods from production to delivery. The team employs advanced analytics throughout these processes, fostering adaptability and operational excellence. This collaborative approach ensures a well-coordinated supply chain that aligns with both organizational goals and dynamic market conditions.

Purpose of the role
A sound professional with supply chain expertise, mathematical skills, ability to manage data, who can analyze and develop solutions for inbound supply chain with the goal of improving the efficiency and effectiveness in this area. The incumbent is expected to work in the capacity of an individual contributor in a challenging business environment. This virtual team caters to 30+ plants and several business teams / groups in the US.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
65% of the time
20% of the time - Provide Material Disruption Leadership
· Facilitate expedited materials through the Material Disruption Recovery (MDR) process that engages resources who are most able to help.
· Coordinate the plan to secure needed materials, including working with alternate suppliers, expediting transportation, or reviewing PO-level commitments.
· Support Materials Business Lead, Buyers, etc. on Recovery management.
· Communicate disruption recovery updates to cross functional stakeholders (e.g. plants, planning, sourcing, OU supply chain teams, etc.).
· Coordinate actions to recover from interruptions, driving improved delivery times.
· Minimize impact of potential material supply disruptions.
· Participate in root cause analysis efforts to minimize future disruption of the supply chain.
· Identify and offer solutions for recurring issue resolution.
· Proficient at generating and manipulating SAP reports and interpreting data in Excel.

· Identify collaboration opportunities within the sub team

TECHNICAL AND SOFT SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to gather, visualize and analyze data
· Ability to translate data into actionable information
· Basic Excel manipulation and analysis skills (i.e., skilled at Vlookup, pivot table, charts / graphs)
· Ability to execute, multi-task and deliver on commitments
· Can prioritize and complete multiple tasks on tight deadlines
· Experience of working with SAP – MM Module
· Good understanding of Supply Chain concepts
· Good mathematical skills
· Continuous improvement mindset
· Proactive and solution oriented approach & c ritical thinking ability to understand granularity of the situation / problem
· Proven self-management and time management skills
· Effective communication (verbal & written) and presentation skills; ability to keep relevant stakeholders updated on progress to resolution
· Working across the organization to collaborate, building relationships with internal & external plant planners, coaching on process use, navigating functions to get results
