Job Description - Business Development Lead

Job Title: Business Development Lead - Supply Chain Technology

Position Overview:

As the Business Development Lead, you will be responsible for identifying, developing and closing new business opportunities within the supply chain sector. Leveraging your industry expertise and network, you will drive revenue growth by cultivating relationships with key stakeholders, strategic partners, and decision-makers. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain technology solutions and a proven track record of driving sales in a B2B environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to achieve sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities through market research, networking and lead generation activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, procurement managers and IT professionals, to understand their business needs and challenges.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized solutions and proposals that address customer pain points and objectives.
  • Lead the negotiation and closing of complex sales contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for both parties.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments and competitive intelligence to inform sales strategies and product enhancements.
  • Represent Linkworks at industry events, conferences and trade shows to promote brand awareness and generate leads.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Proven track record of success in business development or sales roles within the supply chain or logistics industry.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain technology solutions, including warehouse management systems, transportation management systems and inventory optimization tools.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and credibility with C-level executives and decision-makers.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute innovative sales strategies to drive revenue growth.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with a focus on achieving win-win outcomes for the company and the client.
  • Highly motivated self-starter with a results-driven mindset and a passion for exceeding targets.
