Data Systems Analyst III
Iron Mountain Data Centers is looking to hire a high-performing Data Systems Analyst III to join our global Data Enablement team. As a senior-level individual contributor, you will take responsibility for conducting the conversion of data into insights that will lead to informed business decisions with emphasis on application support, billing fulfillment, ad hoc data delivery, mentorship of data analysts, data pipeline quality assurance and completeness, fulfillment of business requests for BI reporting solutions, advancement of platform and usage/effectiveness metrics, and day to day troubleshooting and mitigation of data lifecycle issues, risks, etc. To succeed in this role, you will be deliberately focused on details, continuous process improvement, have knowledge of and experience supporting complex data solutions in a global environment, push to eliminate all single points of failure, along with a deep understanding of data and reporting, operational delivery, and platform process automation tools, techniques, and best practices.
Responsibilities:
Drive manual billing data capture and revenue coordination activities to completion every month
Expand transactional processing capabilities and shift coverage to fulfill billing timelines & deadlines
Eliminate single-points-of-failure; focus on change mgmt and continuous improvement
Support the growth of manual data collection, aggregation, and processing of usage billing
Take initiative to support and enable Data Analysts for success.
Own, execute, and coordinate end-to-end delivery of customer-facing reporting
Actively provide operational break fix support, workarounds, or service restoration for the platform.
Execute discovery and delivery of data that supports complex (and urgent) ad hoc query requests
Proactively identify, assess, and remediate data load and report generation issues
Verify and ensure accuracy and completeness of data; enable and maintain the data pipeline
Assess and remediate issues in data loading, extraction, report generation, and application errors
Ensure high data quality and emphasize master data tactics with data stewards
Create and maintain BI outputs that track business metrics
Devise, maintain and publish metrics that support inventory, telemetry, and KPI
Advocate for increased adoption, usage, and data consumption
Support advancement of ETL pipeline and BI capabilities across the platform
Champion, support, and mature release management (push-to-prod) processes
Execute changes, deployments, communications, and training
Document changes performed or data delivered in ServiceNow tickets on a daily basis
Ensure platform/delivery applications are compliant with information security guidelines and policies
Monitor and perform quarterly user access certification, maintain role based access, etc.
Advance business glossary with a holistic understanding of systematic data flows
Provide guidance and support to peers and organizational staff in areas of data management
Key Skills, Requirements and Competencies:
5-8 years of relevant and demonstrated hands-on experience as a data or systems analyst
5-8 years of experience leading, empowering, delegating to, and coaching up data analysts
Strong knowledge and expertise using and supporting the Microsoft BI stack
Experience maintaining, and delivering data and reporting via various tools and platforms
5-8 years of experience with T-SQL scripting; joins, tables, views, etc
5-8 years of experience deploying reports, dashboards, and visualizations through SSRS or Tableau
5-8 years of demonstrated support role in a data warehouse environment
5-8 years of ETL support experience using Microsoft SSIS
5-8 years of experience supporting and maintaining job schedule automation tool(s)
5-8 years of experience working with SQL Server 2016 and above
Expertise in generating and debugging stored procedures and troubleshooting of complex joins
Experience supporting APIs through SSIS or other integration frameworks (e.g., CozyRoc)
Professional certification with ITIL framework and associated processes
Makes decisions on complex issues; work is generally performed proactively without direction
Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments
Demonstrated experience working in high-pressure situations and complex global environments
Self-motivated, highly adaptable, agile mindset, and driven to think out-of-the-box on a daily basis
Participation in a 24x7 on-call support rotation
Professional certification or degree in IT discipline or equivalent DWH hands-on experience
