We are looking for Passionate and hard-working Laboratory Technicians who want to live and work in Iraq/ Canada/ Germany or Australia region under Work and PR Visa.
The ideal candidate for the position of laboratory technician will be responsible for performing a variety of essential tasks in a clinical laboratory setting. This includes collecting and processing samples, conducting a range of laboratory tests, analyzing test results accurately, maintaining equipment and instrumentation, ensuring quality control and compliance with regulations, and communicating effectively with healthcare professionals. The candidate should have strong attention to detail, proficiency in laboratory techniques, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to upholding high standards of patient care and laboratory quality.
Responsibilities
- Collecting samples such as blood, urine, tissue, and other bodily fluids from patients as directed by healthcare providers. Ensuring proper labeling, handling, and storage of samples to maintain integrity and accuracy.
- Conducting a wide range of laboratory tests and procedures based on physician orders or protocols
- Tests like complete blood counts (CBC), blood chemistry panels, urinalysis, microbiological cultures, and genetic testing.
- Operating and maintaining laboratory equipment and instrumentation used for testing, such as microscopes, spectrophotometers, centrifuges, and automated analyzers
- Analyzing test results and interpreting findings accurately. Recording and documenting test data, maintaining electronic or paper records, and ensuring confidentiality and data security.
- Following standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and quality assurance guidelines to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Communicating test results to healthcare providers, nurses, and other medical staff in a timely and accurate manner. Collaborating with colleagues to discuss findings, troubleshoot problems, and ensure effective workflow within the laboratory.
- Monitoring inventory levels of supplies, reagents, and consumables used in the laboratory.
- Adhering to regulatory requirements and standards set by accrediting bodies for laboratory testing.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or diploma, preferably in a science-related field such as biology, chemistry, or pre-medicine.
- 5+ years of experience is required.
- Proficient in a variety of lab methods and equipment.
- Ability to interpret and troubleshoot test results.
- Skilled in using lab instruments and software.
- Ensures accuracy in sample handling and data recording.
- Manages workload and maintains inventory efficiently.
- Follows safety protocols and maintains a safe lab environment.
