Logistic Executive

Job purpose

Focus on pro-actively handling the Import and Export Customs clearance, Inventory management and local distribution of sample shipments within India across all BUs and functions in close cooperation with the internal stakeholders while staying well- aligned with the corporate requirements.

This includes (but is not limited to): All Import and Export process related activities, such as customs clearance, shipment arrangement, Inventory management etc.

The job holder is responsible to support Manager IMPEX to keep improvement on import, export , inventory management and local dispatch operation process of sample to give better service to all BUs & sites in India, drives operational excellence, service level improvement. Completion of daily activities including shipment planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting for specific modes of transport in alignment with cost and service

About the job (Job Responsibilities) :

The job holder is responsible for all Import and Export process related activities, such as custom clearance, Per and Post Shipment documentation, Sample Inventory management ,Local distribution, vendor bill processing, and reporting of samples.

1. Import / Export Inventory management and local distribution service fulfilment:-

Handling Import and Export Sample orders, shipment arrangement, customs clearance and GRN / inventory management and local distribution. Following the SLA and service KPIs aligned to make sure delivery on time in full. Fulfill Export and Import obligations and close IDPMS and EDPM. Sample warehouse management.

2. Operational Excellence

Proactive communication with stakeholders to understand the requirements of stakeholders and continuously improve to achieve operational excellence.

3. Reporting

Reporting of daily transaction pertaining to Export / Import / local distribution sample shipments, Sample inventory report and Vendor Bills.

4. ERP (SAP, WMS, VIM , Ariba ) and IMPEX management systems utilization

Familiar with SAP, WMS, Ariba , ICEGATE utilization and do assigned transaction in ERP system and use all other IMPEX management systems to manage all transactions.

Export shipment

• Preparation of Pre and Post shipment documents for Sample Export.
• Shipment booking, packing and dispatch.
• Customs Clearance.
• Communication with CHA and other vendors.
• HAZ DGD and VGM preparation.
• Submission of Export documents to finance.
• Insurance Preparation.
• Vendor Bill processing.
• EDPMS / EODC closing.

Import Shipment:

• Verification of import shipping docs.
• Coordination with suppling plant.
• Preparation of various declaration.
• Follow-up with CHA for import Sample clearance.
• Preparation of application to obtain NOC for various authorities such as CDSCO, Drug controller, FSSAI, PQ / AQ, CIB.
• Shipment tracking with courier companies such as Fed-Ex , DHL, UPS.
• Duty payment and customs clearance.
• Vendor Bill payment,
• IDPMS closing.

Warehouse (Sample Room) Management: -

• Goods receipt entry in ERP.
• Sample inventory management.
• Ontime local Sample distribution.
• Sample inbound and outbound reports.
• Transport arrangement.
• Periodic stock count and reporting.
• E-Way Bill preparation and follow the compliance.
• Keeping accurate inventory and batch management of the SKU’s.
• Keeping accurate expired material inventory with batch.
• Monitoring and tracking of the Sample shipments till final destination.
• Monthly physical stock taking and stock reconciliation.
• Sample warehouse / Room management.
• Procurement of packing material for samples.
• Ariba POs for vendor bill payments.
• Warehouse MIS in ERP such as WMS, SAP or Microsoft Excel.
• Maintaining delivery tracker report.
• DSR to stakeholders.
• Expire material disposal process as MPCB /CPCB guidelines.

We believe you bring (Education & Experience)

• 5 years’ experience in Import - Export and warehousing operations / supply chain. Experience with chemical companies or CHA is preferred. Demonstrated knowledge in performing Customs clearance for IMPEX and Inventory management
• Any Bachelor’s Degree, Import & Export Management International trade or related field from accredited college or university preferred.
• Lead and model Nouryon Values to include driving code of conduct compliance always.
• Focusing on custom clearance , Import -export procedure and inventory management.
• Maintain relationships with logistics providers, supporting their Logistics Team Lead.
• Continued operational excellence.
• Trade compliance.

Skills:

• Management/ General Skills:
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, strong result orientation and drive, problem solving, team working.
• Ability to support process improvement initiatives while balancing daily responsibilities.
• Ability to perform,understand and communicate detailed information analysisand evaluation.

Functional Skills:

• Good understanding of Import & Export – procedures & formalities and inventory management.
• Experienced Import and export professionalism with broad understanding of import and export knowledge.
• Knowledge of Logistics in general and import and export specifically.
• Knowledge of customs regulations and any regulation changes.
• Understanding of business processes and business in general.
• Customer focused.
• Written and reading in English is required.
• Logical thinking.
• Strong working knowledge and history of using computers and programs specific to Import-Export & logistics (ICEGATE / SAP / TMS/ WMS/ VIM ) ,Microsoft word and excel and any other government portals such as CDSCO.
• Ability to perform,understand and communicate detailed information analysisand evaluation.
