Financial Controller
A UK based clothing supplier is seeking a Finance Controller for their own manufacturing unit in
Noida, India. The unit produces ~£4M FOB of garments for the UK market.
The Finance Controller will monitor the financial health of the business, review and monitor the financial performance against budgets and forecasts. The key purpose of the role is to provide comfort over the integrity of the financial statements, ensuring that a strong financial control environment exists over finance processes.
The role reports to the India CEO and the UK Finance Director.
Financial Controller: The Role:
· Manage all financial aspects of t he business, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
· Ensure compliance with accounting standards and Indian regulations including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow
· Responsible for the preparation and analysis of business data, Budgeting and latest estimates with analysis into variances
· Taking adequate measures for timely filling of TDS/TCS, VAT and GST returns
· Calculating quarterly estimated tax payments; assembling data for quarterly and annual tax filings
· Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organisations operations
· Support setup, change, enhancements and development of controlling systems and processes that create a sustainable and effective control environment and lead to efficiency improvements. Implementing and maintaining SOP’s and policies.
· Coaching and development of a small team of accountants, assistant accountants, and analysts
· Monitor financial controls, KPI’s and cost management
· Establishing and developing relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders
Financial Controller: The Person:
· The ideal candidate will be at least part qualified Chartered Accountant with experience in apparel or textile manufacturing
· Will have a good knowledge of laws applicable and different modes of financing. GST, TDS & other Statutory Compliances
· Experience in tax assessments for direct and indirect taxes, Income tax and GST
· Excellent analyt ical skills and exceptional numerical proficiency
· Ability to confidently and effectively liaise both written and verbally, with English and Hindi-speaking colleagues
· Excellent team player
Salary: Up to 24 Lakh Rupees Gross Salary.
