Job Description - Industrial Relation-Legal

Hiring for one of the manufacturing company.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Location- Mumbai

Work Experience- 2-4 +years

Qualification- MILS/ LL.B

Roles & Responsibilities

  • To examine in-house all labour related litigation matters pertaining to Vikhroli establishment and referred from the Manufacturing Units, Branches, and Warehouses & Project sites.
  • To coordinate with local lawyers for drafting of petitions / lawsuits.
  • To read, understand & analyze the petitions / statements / counter statements / awards / judgements and bring up the important aspects before the Management.
  • To research on the relevant statutes, case laws and strategies to be adopted by the Company in the Courts.
  • To represent the company at the Labour Court, Industrial Court and High Court and work in close co-ordination with the lawyers on the steps to be taken at every stage of the legal proceedings.
  • To ensure that the In-house Legal team and the support staff work as a team without barriers to achieve the objectives of the Company.
  • To maintain liasioning with the Government agencies viz. DISH, Labour department, FDA, etc. and represent the Company in the conciliation proceedings before statutory authorities.
  • To ensure that the Company is not exposed to any risk and / or to handle critical situations, particularly in criminal matters.
  • To Review pending cases and ensure reduction in no. of litigations and exposure due to litigations.
  • To evaluate alternate settling options before filing fresh lawsuits keeping Company’s interests in mind.
  • To prepare and present MIS on legal cases pending before various Courts as & when required.
  • To assist In-charge – Legal in Court matters.
  • In-house vetting of the Contracts, Conveyance Deeds, Lease Deeds and other documents related to Business.
