Junior Design Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the design team to develop and refine product concepts.
• Create detailed design drawings and specifications using CAD software.
• Construct high-quality prototypes using a variety of materials and techniques, including 3D printing, machining, and assembly.
• Test and analyze prototype performance against design specifications.
• Document the prototyping process, including challenges, solutions, and improvements.
• Assist in sourcing materials and components for prototypes and final product development.
• Participate in design review meetings, providing constructive feedback and innovative solutions.
• Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure prototypes align with production capabilities and constraints.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• 1-2 years of experience in a design engineering role, with a focus on prototyping.
• Proficient in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Fusion 360 or similar.
• Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage time effectively on multiple projects.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with electronics and integrating them into mechanical designs is a plus.
• Experience with prototyping technologies and tools, including 3D printers, CNC machines, and various hand tools.
• Familiarity with simulation software for design validation.
• Creativity and openness to new ideas and approaches in design.
