Job Description

At DataWeave, content is the driving force behind our go-to-market strategies and top-of-funnel initiatives, playing a crucial role in how we connect with our audience. In our quest to expand our reach within the retail and consumer brand sectors, we are on the lookout for a highly skilled Marketing Manager, Content Distribution. This role is dedicated to leading the charge in disseminating top-tier content primarily through email, ensuring it resonates effectively with various personas across our target industries.

The chosen candidate will not only manage the content repurposing and distribution process but will also use email as a potent tool for enhancing brand awareness. This position demands a unique blend of creativity, analytical prowess, and a profound understanding of email marketing tools and best practices. The ideal applicant will excel in crafting compelling email content, adeptly segmenting audiences, maintaining email database hygiene and completeness, and meticulously analyzing email campaign performance to foster continuous improvement and heightened engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end content distribution process, from defining key audience cohorts across regions and acquisition funnel stages to execution.
  • Develop and implement an email marketing strategy aligned with company goals for brand awareness and content distribution.
  • Create and distribute marketing newsletters at a regular frequency to various audience segments, tailored to their specific interests and needs.
  • Devise and manage an email nurture program for engaging top-of-funnel subscribers on a timely basis.
  • Repurpose existing content into diverse formats like infographics and emails for effective distribution across owned channels.
  • Manage the entire email campaign process, including template design, content creation, segmentation, testing, sending, and reporting.
  • Utilize segmentation and personalization strategies to tailor messages for different audience segments, enhancing engagement and conversions.
  • Define, measure, and report on key success metrics for content distribution and consumption, using relevant analytical tools.
  • Monitor and analyze campaign performance to optimize future campaigns for improved metrics such as open rates, click-through rates, and conversions.
  • Collaborate with the content team to maintain a consistent and compelling narrative across all email communications.
  • Stay informed on the latest email marketing trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve email marketing efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with current email best practices, including GDPR and other relevant regulations, to uphold legal and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • 6-10 years of experience in content marketing, content distribution, or email marketing at SaaS-based B2B companies.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing, business management, journalism, media communications, engineering, or equivalent fields.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to produce, evaluate, and proofread diverse types of content.
  • Expertise and experience in using marketing automation systems like Hubspot to create, run, and track brand awareness and content distribution campaigns for a variety of audiences.
  • Proficiency in analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and email metrics, with a strong ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment, managing multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to conceive fresh and appealing ideas for new content that establishes or supports the company's brand identity.
  • Ability to work under aggressive timelines, multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Experience working with data-led SaaS companies.
  • US / International focused experience would be preferred.
  • Experience in creating and distributing retail, eCommerce, or consumer brand related content.
  • Based in Bangalore and is willing to work from the office for at least two days each week.
