Production Manager

TABQUARTZ , a leading manufacturer of high-quality engineered quartz surfaces, is seeking an exceptionally talented and experienced Production Manager to join our team in Hosur, India.

About the Role:

In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production for our quartz lines. You will play a key leadership role in ensuring efficient operations, maintaining the highest quality standards, and meeting production targets.

Responsibilities:

• Strict adherence to the daily production targets and timelines as per PPC schedules 
• Manage and motivate production teams to achieve the set performance goals.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, minimize downtime, and enhance overall productivity.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide the necessary inputs to the team to enhance the skill levels of the personnel.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality control, and procurement departments to ensure smooth operations and material availability.
• Monitor production costs and instill internal systems for cost control and cost reduction.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports.
• Manage and troubleshoot production equipment malfunctions, liaising with maintenance for repairs when necessary.
• Implementation of 5S concepts of good housekeeping & optimize the utilization of production facilities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or a related field) preferred.
• Minimum 15+ years of hands-on experience in a production environment, preferably in engineered stone, ceramics, or a similar process industry.
• At least 5-6 years of experience in a senior production management role.
• Proven track record of successfully leading and motivating production teams.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., ISO, Six Sigma).
• In-depth knowledge of quartz stone production processes and machinery.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and production planning software (e.g., SAP).
• Knowledge of Tamil is a plus.
