Production Shift Incharge

Key Responsibilities:

1. Monitor and supervise production activities during assigned shifts to ensure adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
   
2. Conduct regular inspections of machinery, equipment, and production lines to identify potential issues or areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
   
3. Collaborate with production supervisors and operators to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, resolve technical problems, and minimize downtime.
   
4. Analyze production data, including output rates, cycle times, and quality metrics, to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities for optimization.
   
5. Develop and implement strategies to improve production efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
   
6. Provide technical guidance and training to production staff on equipment operation, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting techniques.
   
7. Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule preventive maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment upgrades to minimize disruptions to production.
   
8. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and company policies and procedures related to production operations.
   
9. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, root cause analysis, and problem-solving teams to drive operational excellence and innovation.
   
10. Maintain accurate records of production activities, equipment performance, and maintenance interventions, and prepare shift reports as required.
    

Requirements

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
   
2. Previous experience in a similar role within a heavy engineering or manufacturing environment is preferred, with a strong understanding of production processes and equipment.
   
3. Proficiency in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and automation systems, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and diagrams.
   
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex issues and develop effective solutions under pressure.
   
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
   
6. Knowledge of safety regulations, risk assessment methodologies, and best practices in an industrial setting.
   
7. Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), manufacturing execution systems (MES), and other production management software tools.
   
8. Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by the production schedule.
