Quality Assurance Lead

Role Description

This is a full-time Quality Assurance Lead role at Zazz.io. As a Quality Assurance Lead, you will be responsible for leading quality assurance activities and ensuring the delivery of high-quality mobile apps and websites. Your day-to-day tasks will include conducting quality audits, implementing quality control measures, and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This is a hybrid role, with the majority of work conducted in our Hyderabad office and some remote work flexibility.

Responsibilities:

• Craft and implement a quality assurance (QA) strategy that ensures our products and services meet high standards, aligning with the company’s goals.
• Lead the QA department with a focus on excellence, innovation, and constant improvement.
• Guide and support a team of QA professionals, enhancing their skills and achieving departmental objectives.
• Set and maintain QA standards and practices across projects, adhering to industry norms.
• Develop a versatile and scalable automation framework to support various testing approaches, ensuring compatibility with different tools and technologies.
• Integrate performance and security testing into the QA process, using tools to identify and address issues early on.
• Work closely with management and other teams to set quality expectations, and testing strategies and align them with business goals.
• Promote the use of automation testing tools to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Implement coding standards for test script development to ensure they are easy to maintain and reuse.
• Encourage using version control for scripts and documents.
• Research and recommend new QA tools and practices to enhance the QA process.
• Ensure comprehensive testing across various platforms and browsers for consistent application performance.
• Manage testing activities, from planning and execution to tracking defects and analyzing test results.
• Monitor QA metrics and indicators to evaluate the process’s success and identify improvement areas.
• Coordinate with different teams to solve technical issues, respond to customer feedback, and ensure the timely delivery of quality products.
• Offer expertise in QA best practices, tools, and technologies to the team and stakeholders.
• Advocate for quality across the organization, promote a quality-focused culture, and lead change initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related; Master’s preferred.
• At least 10 years of QA experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated ability to lead quality initiatives in a dynamic environment.
• Solid grasp of software development life cycles, agile methodologies, and QA processes.
• Expertise in automation testing tools like Appium and Selenium.
• Strong communication skills for explaining complex issues clearly.
