Position Overview:
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be integral to the design and development of mechanical components and systems for our advanced robotic solutions. This role requires expertise in mechanical design, a strong understanding of engineering principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to bring innovative products from concept to production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, analysis, and testing of mechanical systems for robotics applications, ensuring that designs meet functional and regulatory requirements.
- Utilize CAD software to create detailed 3D models and technical drawings for manufacturing.
- Conduct simulations and stress analysis to validate and optimize designs.
- Collaborate with electrical engineers and software developers to integrate systems and ensure seamless functionality.
- Oversee prototype development and perform rigorous testing to evaluate the performance and reliability of mechanical components.
- Prepare documentation, including design files, testing procedures, and production specifications.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of design practices and processes.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies in robotics and mechanical engineering.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in robotics or a closely related industry.
- Proficient in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar.
- Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems.
- Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD).
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with 3D printing and rapid prototyping technologies.
- Knowledge of industry-specific standards and certification processes.
