Job Description - VP - Digital Marketing

Vice President – Digital Marketing, Branding & Communication

Experience: 15+ Years

CTC: Rs. 20 to Rs. 25 LPA

Job Overview :

Purpose of the Role A comprehensive framework for evaluating the performance of Digital Marketing, Branding & Communication efforts in an e-commerce context, with a focus on driving sales, enhancing brand visibility, and fostering customer engagement and loyalty.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Customer Acquisition & Conversation :

  • Develop and execute digital marketing strategies to attract new customers to the e-commerce platform.
  • Optimize digital advertising campaigns (PPC, display ads, social media ads) to drive traffic and increase conversions.
  • Implement strategies to improve website and app conversion rates through A/B testing, UX/UI enhancements, etc.

2. Brand Building and Awareness :

  • Establish and maintain a strong brand presence across digital channels.
  • Create compelling brand messaging and storytelling to differentiate the e-commerce platform in the market.
  • Implement branding campaigns to increase brand awareness and recall among the target audience.

3. Content Strategy & Optimization :

  • Develop a content strategy that aligns with the e-commerce platform's branding and marketing objectives.
  • Create high-quality content (product descriptions, blog posts, videos, etc.) to engage and educate customers.
  • Optimize content for search engines (SEO) to improve visibility and drive organic traffic to the platform.

4. Social Media Strategy :

  • Develop social media strategies to engage customers and drive traffic to the e-commercem platform.
  • Manage social media profiles and communities, including content creation, posting schedules, and community management.
  • Utilize social media advertising to promote products, increase brand awareness, and drive conversions.

5. Email Marketing & CRM :

  • Develop and execute email marketing campaigns to nurture leads, encourage repeat purchases, and increase customer loyalty.
  • Segment email lists based on customer behavior, preferences, and demographics for targeted messaging.
  • Implement strategies to grow the e-commerce platform's subscriber base and improve email deliverability and open rates.

6. Performance Analysis and Optimization : Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to digital marketing efforts (e.g., traffic, conversion rate, ROI). Analyze data to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement. Optimize digital marketing campaigns based on data-driven insights to maximize ROI and achieve business objectives.

7. Customer Experience and Engagement : Enhance the overall customer experience on the e-commerce platform through effective communication and engagement strategies. Implement personalized marketing initiatives (recommendation engines, personalized emails, etc.) to improve customer satisfaction and retention. Gather customer feedback and insights to continuously improve the e-commerce platform's user experience and product offerings.

8. Stakeholder Management : Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, product management, and customer service, to ensure alignment and synergy across all departments. Additionally, foster relationships with external partners, agencies, and vendors to support marketing and branding initiatives. Identify and collaborate with relevant partners and influencers to expand the e-commerce platform's reach and credibility. Negotiate partnerships and influencer agreements to promote products and drive sales. Measure the effectiveness of partnership and influencer marketing campaigns in terms of reach, engagement, and ROI.

9. Mobile Marketing & App Engagement : Develop strategies to increase mobile app downloads and engagement. Optimize mobile marketing campaigns (push notifications, in-app messaging, etc.) to drive conversions and retain users. Enhance the mobile shopping experience to encourage repeat purchases and increase customer lifetime value.

10. Competitive analysis & Market Research : Conduct ongoing competitive analysis to stay informed about industry trends, competitor strategies, and market opportunities.

Utilize market research and customer insights to inform digital marketing strategies and tactics.
