Are you ready to dive into the heart of data excellence? As a Data Steward, Finance Master Data, you'll be at the forefront of critical data quality initiatives and maintenance activities. This position applies business process, analytical, and system administration skills in a dynamic environment to support the general ledger operation and corporate financial systems. While the work is in a quasi-technical environment, the position provides insight into business finance operations, Controllership and General Accounting operations, and both internal and external reporting. It exposes the steward to a balanced view of accounting, finance, and financial system infrastructure. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the integrity of vital data points within our enterprise MDM platform, shaping the flow of data across back-office systems, finance platforms, and our enterprise data warehouse. About the Role In this opportunity as Data Steward, Finance Master Data, you will: Responsible for accuracy of finance master data setup, which is critical to Thomson Reuters monthly financial information and management reporting. Partner closely with Senior Data Stewards, the Business Segments, Controllership, Treasury and General Accounting operations colleagues across the world to ensure that business requirements are supported appropriately. Responsible for first line support for Finance Master Data to build quality working relationships within the organization. Must be able to communicate with all levels of the organization, including senior management. Must be able to juggle several activities and projects simultaneously and set appropriate priorities for self. Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Establish and maintain finance master data databases within Thomson Reuters global environment, including accurate and timely management of general ledger account, profit and cost center requests and foreign currency tables. Administrator the Journal Entry tool and Blackline accounting reconciliation system. This includes user setup, trouble shooting, and SOX compliance review. Administer the monthly accounting period control to ensure timely closure of SAP modules and authorization group changes. Provide first line data support to users of systems to help resolve customer questions and tickets on a range of finance master data topics. Communicate with internal customers and stakeholders to ensure consistent application of Thomson Reuters' policies and procedures including adherence to finance master data design and operating principles. Update and maintain departmental procedures. About You You're a fit for the role of Data Steward, Finance Master Data if your background includes: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business or a related degree is required. Candidate Should minimum 4 + years related experience. Customer focus is key to success in this business environment, including proactive communications to support the finance and accounting organization. Effective oral and written communication skills Previous Master Data Management or SAP experience with FI/CO and creation and maintenance of finance master data elements preferred. Knowledge of accounting and financial reporting in a global business operating with financial systems experience Results oriented and delivering on objectives is crucial to establishing a reputation for high performance and customer satisfaction.
