Job Description - Lead Generation Associate / Sales Person Background: We are developing a cleantech intelligence service for the agri-food sector. Serviced include: ● Coverage of cleantech companies in this sector, regionally and globally ● Unique and proprietary insight, for example regarding growth, value and technology J ob Summary / Objective: To provide sales and marketing support in building a pipeline of leads, for subscribers to our data and analytics platform. Responsible for generating leads through phone calls, social media (LinkedIn, Twitter) and emails. Responsibilities & Duties: ● Research, track, maintain and update leads ● Make outgoing emails/calls to develop new business ● Actively available on LinkedIn to revert messages from leads ● Contact prospects to qualify leads ● Direct email marketing to key clients and prospects ● Research and maintain lead generation database ● Conduct customer research ● Conduct client or market surveys to obtain information about potential leads ● Participate in the preparation of proposals and / or sales presentations ● Provide accurate and timely information to management ● Develop a strong knowledge of the company’s products and services in order to facilitate the sales process Qualifications and Experience Required: ● Excellent English communication (verbal and written) ● Experience with cold calling to US/EU based customers ● Experience with research and maintaining databases ● Proficient in using Google Docs, Sheets and Outlook/Gmail ● Strong project and time management skills ● Knowledge of global agriculture/investments (desired) ● Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Marketing or Business Administration Other Information: This position is for a temporary self-employed contractor, with the option for full-time hours. There will be a brief probationary period, upon successful completion of which there will be a period of work determined according to the required tasks, and which will also be temporary in the first instance. The successful candidate will determine their own work schedule, for example, when they work, and how they balance work with their other commitments. The salary will start at INR 10k+, and higher depending on the candidate, plus a sales bonus.
