3GPP System Architecture / SA2 Standards Engineer

Design 6G system features at the system and architecture level, with emphasis on Stage‑2 (SA2) specifications. Study and resolve architectural issues related to Core Network for 6G and IMS features and future system evolution. Develop and present technical contributions to 3GPP SA2. Actively participate in 3GPP meetings, present proposals, build consensus, and defend technical positions. Strong expertise in 3GPP system architecture, especially 5G Core Network and Service‑Based Architecture (SBA). Solid understanding of Non‑Access Stratum (NAS) and IMS procedures and protocols. Proven experience in wireless system design. Prior participation in 3GPP working groups, preferably SA2 (other WG experience is a plus). Ability to work across companies and organizations to achieve consensus in standards. 5+ years of relevant Industry Experience Experience working directly with mobile network operators, especially on core network architecture and services. Familiarity with multiple 3GPP releases and evolution from LTE to 6G. Willingness to travel frequently for standards meetings (often week‑long). Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related work experience. Global travel several times per year for standards organization forums.
