This Position reports to:

ABB Unpause is a career-return program designed to support experienced professionals re-entering the workforce after a career break. We are seeking motivated and innovative professionals for project-based hiring in Manufacturing, offering exciting opportunities to contribute, grow, and deliver results with ABB.

Responsibilities:

• Support key functions across Production Operations, Quality Assurance, Maintenance Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Project engineering, Sales, Procurement, Design, Lean & Continuous Improvement, or related manufacturing functions, aligned with organizational needs.

• Responsibilities tailored to the candidate’s background, skills, and experience to enable meaningful contribution and learning

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and global teams on cross-functional initiatives

• Contribute to day-to-day operations while supporting process improvement efforts

• Assist in the execution of strategic projects and business initiatives

• Analyze data, prepare reports and presentations, and support initiatives that improve operational efficiency and business outcome.

Qualifications:

• Prior professional experience in Production Operations, Quality Assurance, Maintenance Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Project Engineering, Sales, Procurement, Design, Lean & Continuous Improvement, or related manufacturing and business functions.

• 2–3 years of career break due to personal, family, academic, or other valid reasons

• Educational background in Engineering specializations (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Manufacturing, Industrial, Production, Automation, Instrumentation, Process, Materials, Chemical), Management (Supply Chain, Project, Operations), or related technical/professional disciplines.

• Dedicated willingness to enhance skill set, upskill, and learn to use new tools, systems, and ways of working

• Ability to collaborate effectively in a global, multicultural environment

• Clear communication and interpersonal skills with a professional approach

• Proficient analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and attention to detail

• Effective time management, prioritization, and ability to work efficiently and within teams.
