Role Summary

• Provide academic leadership across grades and departments to ensure high standards of teaching, learning outcomes, and curriculum delivery.
  

• Drive academic excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement aligned with the school’s vision and board requirements.
  

Key Responsibilities

Academic Leadership & Strategy

• Define and implement the academic vision, goals, and annual academic plan.
  

• Ensure effective implementation of curriculum as per board guidelines (CBSE / ICSE / IB / Cambridge, as applicable).
  

• Introduce innovative teaching methodologies and academic best practices.
  

Curriculum Planning & Implementation

• Oversee curriculum planning, lesson planning, and assessment frameworks.
  

• Ensure syllabus completion within defined timelines.
  

• Monitor alignment of lesson plans, assessments, and learning outcomes.
  

Teaching Quality & Faculty Management

• Supervise and mentor teachers, coordinators, and HODs.
  

• Conduct classroom observations and academic audits.
  

• Support recruitment, induction, and professional development of academic staff.
  

• Identify training needs and organize teacher development programs.
  

Assessment, Evaluation & Results

• Oversee assessment planning, evaluation processes, and reporting.
  

• Analyze academic performance, board results, and internal assessments.
  

• Implement corrective and improvement strategies based on data analysis.
  

Student Development & Academic Support

• Ensure academic support systems such as remedial classes and enrichment programs.
  

• Address academic concerns of students in coordination with teachers and counsellors.
  

• Promote holistic student development beyond academics.
  

Parent & Stakeholder Engagement

• Communicate academic policies, performance, and initiatives to parents.
  

• Participate in parent -teacher meetings and academic reviews.
  

• Coordinate with management, administrators, and external academic bodies.
  

Compliance & Documentation

• Ensure compliance with board, accreditation, and regulatory requirements.
  

• Maintain academic records, reports, and documentation.
  

• Support inspections, audits, and accreditation processes.
  

Academic MIS & Reporting

• Prepare academic MIS reports and dashboards for management.
  

• Track KPIs related to teaching quality, learning outcomes, and syllabus coverage.
  

• Use ERP / academic management systems for data -driven decisions.
