Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and enhance web applications with a strong focus on accessibility and inclusive
design.Implement and maintain accessibility standards in alignment with WCAG 2.1/2.2 guidelines and W3C best
practices.Apply and optimize ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) roles, states, and properties to improve assistive technology
compatibility.Conduct accessibility audits, identify issues, and remediate defects across web and mobile web
applications.Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure accessible design patterns from wireframes to
production.Work closely with frontend and backend teams to embed accessibility into the development
lifecycle.Perform manual and automated accessibility testing using tools such as Axe, Lighthouse, WAVE, NVDA, JAWS, and
VoiceOver.Develop accessible UI components and reusable design systems aligned with accessibility
standards.Ensure proper semantic HTML usage and keyboard navigability across
applications.Create and maintain accessibility documentation, guidelines, and best practices for engineering
teams.Provide training and mentorship to developers on ARIA implementation and accessibility
compliance.Stay updated with evolving accessibility regulations and assist in compliance reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications
4–8 years of hands-on experience in frontend development with strong focus on
accessibility.Deep understanding of accessibility standards including WCAG, ADA, and Section 508
compliance.Strong expertise in ARIA roles, states, and properties, and their real-world
implementation.Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and
JavaScript.Experience with modern frontend frameworks such as React, Angular, or
Vue.Strong knowledge of semantic markup and accessible component
architecture.Experience with accessibility testing tools (Axe, Lighthouse, WAVE, NVDA, JAWS, VoiceOver).Solid understanding of keyboard interactions, focus management, and screen reader
behavior.Familiarity with cross-browser and cross-device accessibility
considerations.Experience integrating accessibility into CI/CD pipelines is a
plus.Knowledge of accessibility in mobile web and responsive design.
