THE PERSON
Who you are
You are obsessively organised: nothing falls through the cracks on your watch, and you maintain clean, audit-ready records at all times.
You are comfortable owning, not just executing: you will set up the systems, not just follow them.
You communicate clearly with non-finance stakeholders: the CEO, investors, and founders should always feel informed, not confused by numbers.
You thrive in ambiguity: startup finance is rarely textbook; you can figure things out with limited guidance and know when to escalate.
You are honest about what you don't know and proactive about learning: we would rather you flag a gap than hide it.
