Job Description - Account General Manager

Responsibilities:

  1. Overseeing All Accounting Operations:

- Supervise and manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.

- Ensure accurate and timely processing of financial transactions.

  1. Ensuring Compliance with Accounting Standards and Regulations:

- Stay updated with the latest accounting standards and regulations.

- Ensure all accounting activities comply with local, state, and federal regulations.

- Conduct periodic reviews and audits to ensure adherence to compliance requirements.

  1. Managing the Accounting Team:

- Lead and mentor the accounting team, providing guidance and support to enhance performance.

- Conduct performance evaluations, set objectives, and provide training opportunities for team members.

- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.

  1. Coordinating Month-End and Year-End Closing Processes:

- Oversee and coordinate month-end and year-end closing processes.

- Ensure accurate and timely financial statements and reports.

- Identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues during the closing process.

  1. Preparing and Presenting Financial Reports to the CFO:

- Prepare detailed financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

- Analyze financial data and provide insights and recommendations to the CFO.

- Present financial reports to the executive team and stakeholders as needed.

  1. Implementing and Maintaining Internal Controls:

- Develop and implement robust internal control systems to safeguard company assets.

- Monitor and review internal controls to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.

- Identify areas for improvement and recommend enhancements to internal controls.

Qualifications:

  • Education:

- Bachelors degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- CA/CPA certification preferred.

  • Experience:

- Minimum of 15-18 years of experience in accounting or finance.

- Proven experience in a senior accounting role, preferably within the industry.

  • Skills:

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations.

- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Excellent leadership and team management skills.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Effective communication and presentation skills.

- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
