Job Description - Account Planner

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

Salary range: Rs 300000 - Rs 700000 (ie INR 3-7 LPA)

Min Experience: 3 years

Location: Mumbai

JobType: full-time

This role involves supporting the strategic planning process by producing actionable consumer insights, developing creative strategies based on data, and ensuring that brand goals align with audience needs. It requires a blend of analytical thought and creative storytelling to contribute to the creation of impactful and motivating campaigns.

Role Deliverables:

  • Perform market, category, and consumer research to uncover emerging trends.
  • Convert research findings and data into insightful consumer perspectives and strategic initiatives.
  • Craft creative briefs based on insights and business objectives.
  • Work closely with creative, account management, and operations teams throughout the campaign development process.
  • Create and deliver strategic presentations and idea decks for internal and client discussions.
  • Engage in client workshops, briefings, and feedback sessions to ensure alignment on campaign objectives.

Mandatory Skills Required:

  • Proficient research and analytical skills (both quantitative and qualitative).
  • Capability to distill data into engaging narratives and actionable plans.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; strong presentation abilities.
  • Enthusiasm for consumer behavior, popular culture, and emerging trends.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate across different teams.
  • Preferred Industry Experience: Advertising, Events

Optional Skills Required:

  • Familiarity with research tools such as YouGov, Mintel, or Google Trends.
  • Previous experience in brand tracking, segmentation studies, or ethnographic research.
  • Basic knowledge of digital media and performance marketing metrics.
  • Experience in creative writing or storytelling.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in an advertising agency in a planning or marketing strategy role.

Language Proficiency Required:

  • English – Professional proficiency (both spoken and written).
