Job Description - Account/ Relationship Manager

A proactive and customer-focused Account Manager to
oversee key client relationships, drive adoption, and ensure value realization
from our software products. The role demands strong relationship-building
skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to align product capabilities with
customer business goals.

  1. Excellent Communication Skills:
    Strong verbal & written comm skills. Good Listener. convey info
    clearly & persuasively.

  2. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build rapport,
    establish trust with clients, empathetic and willing to say “NO”

  3. Customer Focus: Desire to understand &
    address needs of clients. Should be responsive & proactive.

  4. Problem-Solving Abilities:
    The ability to identify problems, analyze situations, and develop creative
    solutions.

  5. Negotiation and Influencing Skills:
    Account managers need to manage expectations, and influence decision-making
    processes with clients. Strong negotiation and influencing skills are
    critical for navigating complex business relationships and driving
    mutually beneficial outcomes.

  6. Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks,
    Attention to detail.

  7. Sales Acumen: Willingness to identify
    upsell and cross-sell opportunities, and driving revenue growth.

  8. Analytical Skills: Track key performance
    indicators (KPIs), and derive insights from customer interactions is
    valuable for informing strategic decision-making and optimizing account
    management strategies.

  9. Adaptability and Resilience:
    The ability to adapt to change, overcome obstacles, and maintain composure
    under pressure is essential for success in account management roles.

  10. Team Player Mentality: Collaboration and teamwork
    are often required in account management, particularly when coordinating
    work effectively with colleagues across different departments.

  11. Act as a trusted advisor
    and main point of contact for customer escalations and solutioning.

  12. Renewal and Contract Management:
    1. Proactively engage with the client to discuss contract renewals
      and extensions.

    2. Review and negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service levels.
    3. Ensure timely renewal of contracts to maintain continuity of
      service.

    4. Manage contract documentation and administrative tasks related to
      renewal.
