Accounting and Controls Senior Accountant

## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nThe Accounting and Controls Senior Accountant will provide leadership of the Accounting function for allocated sites. Ensuring accuracy of US GAAP and local GAAP numbers, and that all compliance requirements are met. This role will have a strong focus on the standardization and optimization of financial processes across allocated sites, rolling out strategic initiatives and working closely with the Controllership (incl. Global Financial Accounting) and COEs \n\u2022 Responsibility for closing, accounting, and reporting for allocated sites, ensuring each close is completed accurately and in line with operational reporting timetables \n\u2022 Ensure control environment. Adherence to all Eaton Policies, US GAAP, SOX and local statutory/tax compliance requirements must be maintained \n\u2022 Statutory reporting and administration where applicable. \n\u2022 Partner with Operations to help execute business strategies, develop a detailed understanding of the operational activities and build business acumen \n\u2022 Support all strategic projects within the region such as tax, restructuring, M\u0026A activities, payroll, system implementations and other ad-hoc projects \n\u2022 Drive optimization through standardization, simplification and automation of financial processes within the zone, working closely with Controllership, the COEs and Operations to build out and achieve the most efficient and effective organization \n\u2022 Support business \u0026 accounting and controls processes improvements and transitions \n\u2022 Support all statutory, tax, customs and internal audits \n\u2022 Ethical standards must be maintained at all times\" \n\n## Qualifications:\n\nRequirement:\n\n * Degree in Accounting / Finance, Master\u0027s Degree (professional qualification) is preferred\n * 7+ years of relevant work experience in Accounting, Finance \n \n\n\n\n\n## Skills:\n\n * Experience of finance/accounting within a multinational manufacturing environment\n * Exposure to Sarbanes Oxley and US GAAP desirable\n * Fluent in business English; one or more local country language fluency desirable\"\n * Ability to operate and deliver independently\n * Strong interpersonal and communication skills\n * Strong technical skills with a high business acumen\n * Change management and continuous improvement mindset\n * Able to work as part of a team and adhere to company standard processes, practices \u0026 policies\n * Strongly invested in life-long learning\n * Comfortable dealing with ambiguity\n * Demonstrate strong managerial courage\n * Skilled at building organisational capability\n\n\n
