Accounting Specialist   (Yardi ERP)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist – Real Estate / Property Management with strong hands -on expertise in Yardi ERP. The ideal candidate will manage end -to -end property accounting activities including AP, AR, GL, reconciliations, and financial reporting for residential, commercial, or mixed -use properties. This role requires deep understanding of property accounting, month -end close, and preparation of accurate management and owner reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end -to -end accounting for real estate and property management portfolios using Yardi ERP
  

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) including vendor invoice processing, approvals, payment runs, and vendor reconciliations
  

• Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) including tenant billing, rent postings, CAM charges, collections, and account follow -ups
  

• Maintain General Ledger (GL) for multiple properties; post journal entries and ensure accurate coding by property, entity, and cost center
  

• Perform bank reconciliations, escrow reconciliations, and balance sheet account reconciliations
  

• Support month -end and year -end close processes in line with accounting calendars
  

• Prepare property -level and portfolio -level financial statements, including:
  

  • Income Statements
    

  • Balance Sheets
    

  • Cash Flow Statements
    

• Prepare monthly management and owner reports, including variance analysis and budget vs. actuals
  

• Analyze property financial performance and provide financial insights to property managers and senior management.
  

• Assist with budget preparation, forecasting, and CAM reconciliations
  

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
  

• Support internal and external audits by providing schedules and supporting documentation
  

• Collaborate with property managers, leasing teams, and vendors to resolve accounting discrepancies
  

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  

• Strong hands -on experience with Yardi ERP (Property Management / Real Estate modules)
  

• Solid experience in property accounting, including AP, AR, GL, and reconciliations
  

• Experience handling multi -property and multi -entity accounting
  

• Strong knowledge of real estate accounting concepts (rent roll, CAM, accruals, prepaid expenses, security deposits)
  

• Experience in financial reporting, analysis, and management/owner presentations
  

• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem -solving skills
  

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with commercial, residential, or mixed -use properties
  

• Familiarity with Yardi Voyager and related modules
  

• Knowledge of IFRS / US GAAP
  

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, financial models)

• 4–7 years of relevant experience in real estate / property management accounting
