Accounting Technician III

Job Description

Under direct supervision, this positions works on the most complex clerical functions related to accounting activities.  

• Use automated accounting systems to perform data collection and data input

• May provide guidance to lower level technicians and clerks

• May interface with other groups inside and outside the organization, vendors, and project personnel

• Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards

• Plan, organize, and carry out assignments as directed

• Adhere to and support Fluor’s Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies

• Other duties as assigned 

Basic Job Requirements

• A combination of education: B.com(P) or B.com(H) and directly related experience equal to four (4) years; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements 

• General Accounting, SAP knowledge

• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors  

• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job  

• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner    

Other Job Requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or global equivalent with preference for accounting education in a technical or advanced education environment

• Work Preferable Schedule: Open for either Dayshift or Nightshift

• Some prior accounting experience in a similar environment

• Four (4) years of job related accounting/accounts payable experience 

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills 

• Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, email, spreadsheets, and electronic presentations
