An "Adobe Tagging Specialist" is a professional responsible for implementing, managing, and maintaining tracking tags on a company's digital properties using an Adobe tag management system, such as Adobe Experience Platform Tags (formerly Adobe Launch). Their goal is to ensure accurate data collection, support digital analytics, and help with personalized customer experiences by deploying and managing third-party marketing and advertising tools.
Key Responsibilities
Deploying and configuring tags on websites and other digital properties to collect specific data.
Administering the tag management system, including setting up rules, extensions, and integrations with other marketing and analytics tools.
Testing, validating, and debugging analytics implementations to ensure accurate data collection and prevent issues.
Working with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into technical requirements for analytics.
Providing expertise to internal stakeholders on analytics tagging, data integration, and data validation.
Defining and overseeing quality assurance activities to maintain data integrity and tracking accuracy.
Creating custom JavaScript and front-end code to support complex web measurement and analytics requirements.
Ensuring implementations adhere to data privacy, security, and performance best practices.
Required Skills & Knowledge
Adobe Experience Platform Tags (formerly Adobe Launch):
Deep knowledge of how to use and configure this platform to manage marketing and analytics tags.
Experience with implementing and supporting Adobe Analytics for data collection and reporting.
Proficiency in writing and debugging JavaScript for custom tag configurations.
Understanding of web technologies for front-end implementation.
Digital Marketing & Analytics Principles (desired, not mandatory):
A strong understanding of web analytics, marketing technology, and how data is used to drive customer insights and experiences.
Ability to diagnose and resolve issues with tag implementations and data collection.
