Key Responsibilities


Manufacturing Strategy & Industrialization



  • Lead manufacturing industrialization strategy for Infrastructure Solutions and Switchgear operations in India. 

  • Develop manufacturing roadmaps aligned with business growth, capacity expansion, localization, and operational excellence objectives. 

  • Support greenfield plant setup activities including manufacturing strategy, facility planning, equipment selection, process design, and operational readiness. 


Manufacturing Engineering & Process Excellence



  • Define and deploy best-in-class manufacturing processes across fabrication, busbar, switchgear assembly, electrical assembly, testing, and integration operations. 

  • Standardize manufacturing methods, work content, labor standards, material flow, workstation design, and productivity models. 

  • Drive process optimization, capacity improvement, and manufacturing efficiency initiatives across sites. 


Equipment, Automation & Capital Projects



  • Lead manufacturing equipment strategy, automation initiatives, and capital investment projects. 

  • Manage equipment specification, supplier selection, factory acceptance testing, commissioning, and production ramp-up activities. 

  • Develop business cases for automation, productivity improvements, and manufacturing technology investments. 


Capacity Planning & Plant Readiness



  • Develop executable capacity and resource models to support business growth and customer demand. 

  • Partner with Operations and Supply Chain teams to identify and mitigate manufacturing constraints and capacity risks. 

  • Support make-versus-buy decisions, plant layout optimization, and footprint expansion initiatives. 


New Product Introduction & Technology Deployment



  • Partner with Engineering to ensure manufacturability is embedded early in product development. 

  • Drive Design for Manufacturing and Design for Assembly principles, modularization, and manufacturing standardization. 

  • Lead manufacturing readiness activities for new product introductions and technology deployments.
