Agentic AI Lead/ Architect

We are looking for an Agentic AI Technical Lead with strong hands-on experience in end-to-end application development, Azure cloud, and enterprise AI application architecture.

The ideal candidate should come from a software/application engineering background and have experience designing, developing, deploying, and supporting production-grade applications on Azure.

This is not a pure Data Scientist / Machine Learning / AI research role. We are specifically looking for a technology leader who can combine strong software engineering, Azure architecture, APIs, cloud-native development, and Agentic AI capabilities to build enterprise applications end to end.

The candidate will lead the architecture and development of AI-powered applications using technologies such as Azure, Microsoft Foundry/Azure OpenAI, Agentic AI, LLMs, RAG, APIs, microservices, and cloud-native services.

Key Responsibilities

Agentic AI & Application Architecture

Lead the architecture and development of enterprise Agentic AI applications from concept through production.

Design agent-based solutions capable of reasoning, tool/function calling, workflow orchestration, API integration, and multi-step business process execution.

Design single-agent and multi-agent architectures based on business requirements.

Integrate LLMs with enterprise applications, APIs, databases, documents, and business systems.

Design RAG-based solutions using enterprise knowledge sources and vector/search technologies.

Evaluate and select appropriate Agentic AI frameworks and Azure services.

Define reusable patterns and standards for AI application development

End-to-End Application Development

Own the complete application development lifecycle:
Requirements → Architecture → Development → Testing → CI/CD → Deployment → Production Support.

Design and develop scalable web applications, backend services, APIs, microservices, and AI-enabled applications.

Develop secure REST APIs and integrate third-party and enterprise systems.

Establish application architecture, coding standards, design patterns, and engineering best practices.

Perform hands-on coding and technical troubleshooting when required.

Lead technical design discussions and provide guidance to development teams.

Review code and ensure quality, scalability, maintainability, and security.

Strong hands-on experience with Azure application development

The candidate should be comfortable designing and deploying production applications on Azure, rather than only consuming Azure AI/ML services.

Microsoft Foundry / Azure OpenAI / GenAI

Hands-on experience with

Microsoft Foundry / Azure OpenAI and enterprise GenAI application development.

Build applications using LLMs, prompt engineering, structured outputs, function/tool calling, RAG, and agent orchestration.

Experience integrating AI capabilities into existing enterprise applications.

Understand model selection, token usage, latency, cost, reliability, and responsible AI considerations.

Implement evaluation, monitoring, tracing, guardrails, and production observability for AI applications.

Microsoft Foundry provides application developers with APIs and SDKs for Python, C#, along with agent, tool, monitoring, and governance capabilities.

Technical Skills

Must Have

6+ years of overall software/application development experience.

Strong experience in end-to-end application development.

Strong hands-on Azure application development experience.

Strong software architecture and design experience.

Experience building and deploying production applications on Azure.

Strong experience with REST APIs, microservices, integration, and distributed systems.

Hands-on experience with Generative AI / LLM / Agentic AI application development.

Experience with Azure OpenAI / Microsoft Foundry or equivalent enterprise GenAI platforms.

Strong programming experience in at least one of:

C# / .NET

Python

Experience with CI/CD, Git, DevOps, containers, and automated testing.

Strong understanding of application security, authentication, authorization, and Azure identity.

Ability to lead technical teams and make architecture decisions.
