Job Purpose

Operation and Maintenance for Transport Optical network uptime and service quality. Expansion of DWDM Network.

Key Result Areas/Accountabilities

• Maintain Network Up time & Link Uptime - 99.99%


• Transmission KPI monitoring & relevant actions with other stake holders


• Ensure proactive solution implementation with coordination with all stake holders to avoid network outages (P1 to P5)


• Carrying out daily TX field observation in co-ordination with all stake holders.


• Network fault analysis & escalations to take solution from OEM


• Publishing Network elements health check up to respective stake holders.


• MS governance based on SLA


• Co-ordination with commercial, finance & OEM's for PR/PO, invoice & ensure payment

Core Competencies, Knowledge, Experience

• Knowledge of TX technologies – SDH, MW, Optical, DWDM, IP


• Hands on working knowledge on below OEM's:


• Huawei OSN, ECI BG, XDM, NPT, DWDM Technologies, Nokia / Ericsson / Huawei MW,


• Team management, communication & presentation skills and data and inventory management.


• Should have experience to handle team in field challenges.


• Knowledge of IP, Router, switch and IP protocols would be plus point

Must have technical / professional qualifications

• 10-15 years of experience in telecom industry and minimum 5-7 years of experience Transmission Projects n Ops.
