Airworthiness Engineer - Avionics Systems / Software

Job Description

The Airworthiness group at ePlane company  is looking for someone in  design assurance and safety of airborne software and hardware systems systems   for ePlane’s electric propulsion   VTOL aircraft, to interact with ePlane design groups for the compliance of DGCA’s  applicable design requirements for the  Type Certification of the aircraft.

Tech Skills:  

• Good knowledge in Avionics & electrical systems,  Software development for avionics control & monitoring and automation technologies.

• Strong knowledge of navigation, communication, and flight control systems.

• Experience with systems analysis, project management, and troubleshooting avionics components.

Requirements

Must-Have: 

1. A Bachelor’s degree in Avionics Engineering/ Aerospace Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering or a related field is required.

2. Working experience  in fixed/rotary wing aircraft/UAV/VTOL avionics system design, integration, and troubleshooting.

3. Experience in developing safety critical analysis for aerostructures and mechanical systems

4. Knowledge in DGCA rules & regulations specifically on aircraft Type Certification,  design organization approval and ITSO authorisation.

5. Experience with ARP4754A/4761A/ DO178C/Do160G/DO-254 standards

Good to Have 

1.  Master’s degree in Avionics or Aerospace  Engineering . 

2. Radar and sensor technology for VTOL operations

3. Understanding of CS/FAR-23 or CS/FAR-27 regulations of EASA / FAA

4. Prior experience in working on Type certification and ITSO authorisation

5. Knowledge of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Lean methodologies.

6. Experience in maintenance, reliability analysis, and risk assessment.

7. Understanding of Prototype manufacturing of aircraft

8. Knowledge in preparation of technical documents and manuals for the type certification.
