AK - Painter

Job Summary:

The Painter is responsible for preparing, painting, and finishing surfaces of walls, ceilings, furniture, and other structures according to specifications. The role involves selecting appropriate materials, mixing paints, applying coatings, and ensuring high-quality finishes while maintaining safety and cleanliness at the worksite.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and filling cracks or holes.
  




• Mix paints, varnishes, and other materials to achieve the desired color and consistency.
  




• Apply paint, stain, or coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
  




• Protect surrounding areas and surfaces with tape, drop cloths, or plastic sheets.
  




• Ensure smooth and uniform paint finishes on all surfaces.
  




• Follow safety guidelines and use appropriate protective gear.
  




• Maintain tools, brushes, and painting equipment in good working condition.
  




• Match colors and finishes to design specifications or repair touch-ups.
  




• Coordinate with supervisors or project managers for timelines and quality checks.
  




• Clean up work areas after completion of each task.
  

Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Technical training in painting preferred).
  




• Proven experience as a painter or apprentice.
  




• Knowledge of different painting techniques, materials, and tools.
  




• Ability to mix and match paints and finishes accurately.
  




• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
  




• Good physical stamina and ability to work at heights or outdoors.
  




• Awareness of safety procedures and use of protective equipment.
